The Board of Governors of the Canadian Heritage Arts Society is seeking support this spring, and so invite you to join them in supporting our 2026 Gala "Spring Sensation", offering a donation in support of our work, and/or by bidding in our online silent auction which will be live in April to raise much needed funds.
Gala tickets include a welcome drink, buffet dinner and live entertainment. A cash bar will also be available.
$300 pays a professional artist to lead a workshop sharing their skills and experience.
$978 provides a student with one-to-one private voice lessons for a full year.
$3,135 provides 2 weeks of specialized training like stage combat to enhance employability.
$710 funds extra vocal ensemble sessions enabling students to build a festive repertoire.
$2,200 covers accommodation for a guest director to lead one of our shows.
$4,602 employs a dance artist to choreograph the year-end musical.
All proceeds and donations will go to support the activities of the Canadian Heritage Arts Society (CHAS) and the operation of the Canadian College of Performing Arts (CCPA), together they create live theatre events performed by artists-in-training.
We are currently organizing our Spring silent auction fundraiser, which will run launch at our Spring Sensations gala and run online from April 1 – 26, 2026. We would be grateful if you would consider donating an item or gift voucher for this event. Donations would be recognized online through our silent auction platform, and with a logo in our theatre playbill for our year-end musical (Disney’s Newsies) presented at the McPherson Playhouse from April 17 – 25, 2026 which reaches audiences of 4,000 annually.
We have the ambitious goal of raising $15,000 this spring through our auction, which would ensure that we can continue to offer skills training that boost employment prospects and show the arts as a viable career path.
